Childhood
I was born in a cafe restautant at the top of the Canal de Bourgogne in a smallmarket town called Pouilly en Auxois in 1958. My parents owned the establishment for more than 30 years. The cafe is beside the canal port, where barges pass by carrying cargo. I guess this influenced my need to travel and pleasure of meeting people.
Travel years
I worked in Birmingham, England
I worked on canal barges for a few years, cruising along the canals and rivers of France.
Vacation trips to Martinique, UK, Singapore, New Zealand, USA
Children
I have two boys, the first was born in 1992 and the second in 1997. After myson was born, I stopped working so that I could concentrate on looking after my boys.
Married life
Although I have been with my husband for more than 20 years, we only decided to marry in the 2001, after the children were born... That's life. Anyhow it was a great wedding in the village, all the locals came to the ceromony held in the mayors office. Afterwards we had a great party in the garden at home, which lasted most of the night and the next day.
Hobbies and pastimes
I have great pleasure in home cooking. I realy enjoy making meals for the family and friends. Big dishes, fresh products and when possibly direct from the garden or local farms.
I also enjoy French cinema, music of all kinds and from all countries.
In the rare moments of free time I enjoy drawing, painting and reading.
