Furniture from Burgundy and other parts of France
Many regions have France have their own particular style and method when making and decorating furniture, this helps when trying to recognize the origines of tables, chairs, desks and other items.
The finishing of a peice of furniture can also indicate it's age, such as Louis-Philippe, Henri II, or Louis XV, XVI, Empire. I'll go into more details later.

A Vaisselier or "Welsh dresser", the bottom cupboard is
original, but the top section has been restored by a local carpenter. Its
made of oak with cast iron motif handles.
